NMSDC Grants Devon Facility Management ‘Corporate Plus’ Status
April 2, 2012NEW YORK –The National Minority Supplier Diversity Council (NMSDC) has granted "Corporate Plus®" status to Devon Facility Management (DFM), a facility management service provider based in Detroit.
Corporate Plus® membership recognizes the highest-caliber minority business enterprises with the proven capacity to handle national contracts for major corporations.
NMSDC's main objective is to provide a direct link between corporate America and minority owned businesses. It was chartered in 1972 to provide increased procurement and business opportunities for minority businesses of all sizes.
The NMSDC Network includes a National Office in New York and 37 regional councils across the country. There are 3,500 corporate members throughout the network, including most of America's largest publicly-owned, privately-owned and foreign-owned companies, as well as universities, hospitals and other buying institutions.
"We're very pleased and honored to receive this designation," said David Burnley, Sr., CEO of Devon Industrial Group, the parent company of DFM. "The only way a Minority Business Enterprise can receive this honor is to be nominated by a national corporate member of the NMSDC. We appreciate Toyota's confidence in DFM and for nominating us. This will help expand our participation in this very special network of companies."
