Devon Facility Management Customer Achieves Top Plant Score
May 16, 2012DUNDEE, Michigan – Chrysler’s Dundee, Michigan Engine Plant, a customer of Devon Facility Management, attained “Bronze” status for technical and management achievement in a recent internal review under the automaker’s World Class Manufacturing program. It is the first plant in Chrysler to achieve Bronze status.
Devon Facility Management provides operations and maintenance services at the Dundee facility.
The North Plant at Dundee launched in 2005 and was followed by the opening of the South Plant in 2006. They were built by joint venture between Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Hyundai Motor Company and Daimler Chrysler, which was called the Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance (GEMA.) GEMA became the Dundee Engine Plant in January 2012. The plant produces engines for Fiat, Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler vehicles.
